Byrne Farm Chardonnay

One of my favourite chardonnay's produced by our very dear friends at Byrne Farm in Orange. 

2019 was the inaugural vintage for Byrne Farm wines in the cool climate region of Orange with the fruit being grown at approximately 900m above sea level. Every year has a unique challenge and 2019 was a much warmer than average year with ideal harvest times brought forward 2 -3 weeks. This Chardonnay was handpicked, whole bunch pressed with the cloudy juice put to oak for fermentation and aged for 9 months.

This wine shows green apple, white peach and green melon fruits with flinty, textured notes balanced with a fresh, crisp finish.
